Strong Interest InventoryThe Strong Interest Inventory provides robust insights into a person’s career interests, helping them to discover potential career paths they may not have considered, and giving them a wealth of information about how they approach the world of work.
Step 1: How do I inquire regarding Strong Inventory Assessment? There are two ways that you can inquire about a Strong Interest Inventory Assessment:
Due to team capacity, Strong Interest Inventory Assessments are only offered in June, July, November, and December. Thank you for understanding. Step 2: Initial Meeting - Is a Strong Inventory Assessment right for me?After booking your appointment or receiving your referral, you will meet with our practitioner to assess if the Strong Interest Inventory Assessment will meet your needs. This appointment will not include the assessment. Once this consultation is complete, the you and the practitioner will work out next steps. This appointment will take up to a half hour and can be done in-person or virtually. Step 3: Complete AssessmentIf it is determined that an assessment of this type will meet your needs, our practitioner will email you your assessment to your @lakeheadu.ca email address. The assessment must be completed on a computer, if you do not have access to one please reach out to careers.coop@lakeheadu.ca for support. The assessment takes approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete. Step 4: Assessment ReviewOnce you complete your assessment, our practitioner will review the submission information and create a report. You will receive your results during a follow-up meeting with the practitioner who will go over the report with you. You and the practitioner can then work out next steps for your career exploration journey.
