Budget Tips

As you ring in 2018, a budget is a great way to keep your money on track. Here are a few tips to consider on budgeting:

  1. Calculate your expenses (e.g. tuition, rent, food, etc.)
  2. Find out how much money you have coming in (e.g. student loans, awards, gifts, etc.)
  3. Set realistic and achievable goals.
  4. Don't give up - tracking your expenses can be boring, but in the long run, it's worth it.
  5. Seek help - meet with us in Student Central to discuss how we can help you along the way!

bounce back

Are you in first year? Did you fail any courses last term? Were your grades lower than you hoped? If so, the "Bounce Back" program is designed to support you as you enter the Winter term to help you get back on track.

Bounce Back will support and guide you through a series of interactive sessions that focus on community building, personal reflection, goal setting, academic skills, action plans and peer mentoring. By taking the academic strategies learned in the program and applying them to your studies, you should see an improvement in your academics and grades.

There are 4 sessions in this program, each being approximately 45 minutes in length. The first three sessions run between January 25 - February 9, with the fourth session occurring in late March. You must attend all 4 sessions as the sessions build upon the content learned in the previous session.

Interested? Register here by January 24:  Bounce Back Program Registration.
