What can I expect at the sessions?

When you come to your sessions at the Thunder Bay Campus, you’ll be greeted by Jo Krisko, Manager of the Student Success Centre who will facilitate each session. The sessions are designed for students to meet other students who are facing similar academic difficulties; reflect on their personal academic struggles and identify areas for growth; gain knowledge and understanding about learning styles and academic skills, and then apply that learning to their own studies; and finally, create an academic action plan to implement and follow during the winter term. Each session will have a mix of independent work and group interactions.
What do I need to bring to the sessions?

Although the program materials will be provided for you at the first session, you’ll need to bring typical school supplies such as a pen or pencil, highlighters, and a notepad.
