Employee Appreciation Day: Join the Celebration & Prize Draws!

Dear Lakehead University Community,

Mark you calendars for Employee Appreciation Day on March 7th, 2025! We are thrilled to continue the tradition of celebrating the incredible contributions of our dedicated Lakehead University employees.

This year, we're bringing back the popular hourly prize draws and making it even easier for you to participate and follow along.

How to Participate

Hourly Prize Draws: Throughout the day, Human Resources will randomly draw one active Lakehead University employee (staff/faculty) from both the Thunder Bay and Orillia campuses each hour, starting at 10:00 AM.

Check the Winners: Stay tuned to the official event page: Employee Appreciation Day, to see if you're a winner! We will post the names of the lucky winners every hour, leading up to the grand prize announcements at 3:00pm.

Prize Pick-up: Winners in Thunder Bay can collect their prizes immediately from the Human Resources office (UC 0003), and winners in Orillia can collect their prizes later the following week from OA 2012.

Contribute to the Celebration!

To make this event even more special, we encourage departments and employee groups to donate items for our prize draws. Consider donating Lakehead University branded merchandise, gift certificates, or other exciting prizes.

Donation Drop-off:

• Student Central is available as a drop-off point.
• You can also drop off donations at the Human Resources UC 0003 (TB) and OA 2012 (OR).

We are looking forward to a day of celebration and recognition for our amazing Lakehead University community.
