Competition # LUTA-22-01

 

The Faculty of Engineering seeks a dynamic self-initiating technologist dedicated to exemplary lab instruction and guidance of students, housed in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Georgian College Campus in Barrie, Ontario. The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering. The position is expected to start as soon as the position is filled.

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the organization, development and control of assigned laboratories, equipment maintenance and repair, prototyping, testing and construction and/or purchase of required equipment, supervision and instruction of students in laboratories, marking of laboratory reports, preparing, administering and evaluating laboratory quizzes to students and assisting faculty and graduate students with their teaching and research. The incumbent will be expected to work in laboratory environments with minimal supervision.

 

Minimum qualifications for the position is a technology diploma in electrical engineering. A B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and professional registration are preferred.
