An inspiring individual with a passion for showcasing opportunities for higher education, the Early Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling, and delivering early outreach programming and initiatives with youth, parents and educators to promote the value of a post-secondary education at Lakehead. The position includes working with schools, teachers and students to develop skills that will help them in making decisions at an early age around post-secondary education, such as the development of financial literacy skills, understanding career outcomes and creating connections between elementary and high schools and Lakehead University programs and campuses

 

A Bachelor’s degree in Education is preferred, along with 2 or more years of experience working in a post-secondary setting in the field of education and/or marketing/ communications. Excellent customer service skills, presentation skills, analytical and organizational abilities with excellent judgment and decision-making skills are required. You must have a demonstrated ability to foster, develop and maintain successful working relationships with multiple audiences and the ability to manage creative, large-scale events. Sensitivity to privacy issues and a flexible work schedule is expected for this position. A Class G driver's unrestricted licence is required, due to travel requirements.
