Invigilator
 Student Accessibility Services – Thunder Bay Campus

 Part-time/Casual  $15.00/hour

The Invigilator supervises in person/virtual accommodated tests/exams for students with disabilities/medical conditions following established practices and ensures students adhere to relevant University regulations/policies. The position is an on call, hourly paid, part-time/casual position including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Prepare test/exam space (including computer/assistive technology)
  • Uphold all University Exam Regulations through the exam
  • Ensure the academic integrity for all tests/exams and follow procedures to address any suspected and/or confirmed cheating incidents
  • Verify student identification
  • Monitor students during the writing of tests/exams
  • Address any student questions/concerns
  • Communicate accurately with University students, faculty & staff
  • Document anomalies/irregularities
  • Submit and collect tests/exams

 

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Knowledge of computer software including adaptive technology is preferred
  • Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing platform
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in handling a range of situations which may include complex, sensitive and confidential issues
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable, flexible approach to hours/periods of work
  • Experience working with students at the post-secondary level or secondary school is preferred 
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma (will consider equivalent with related experience)
