Job Description:

As an ambassador for Lakehead University, the Alumni Engagement intern is an integral member of the External Relations Team. The intern will support the implementation of Lakehead for Life, a five-year Alumni Engagement Plan. The main focus of the internship will be Goals 4 and 5 from Lakehead for Life which supports the ongoing preparation work required for Lakehead University’s Institutional Philanthropic Campaign.

 

The intern will focus specifically on developing and fostering a culture of philanthropy within the alumni and campus communities by engaging with alumni in Thunder Bay and the region, encouraging alumni in the region to make annual or mid-level gifts to the Lakehead Annual Fund, and engaging with students and young alumni on campus to establish a Class Gift Program.  Further, the intern will support a dynamic Alumni Ambassador Program by engaging with alumni in the region and strategically recruit new Alumni Ambassadors and assisting the Annual Fund and Alumni Engagement Associate to increase the number of annual active Alumni Ambassador volunteers and Increase the number of campus partners engaging Alumni Ambassadors.

 

Qualifications:

University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university.  The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program.  The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
