The Faculty of Engineering seeks a dynamic self-initiating technologist dedicated to exemplary lab

instruction and guidance of students, housed in the Department of Software Engineering at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus.

The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Software Engineering. The position is expected to start August 1, 2021.

The incumbent will be responsible for the organization, development and control of assigned laboratories, equipment maintenance and repair, prototyping, testing and construction and/or purchase of required equipment, supervision and instruction of students in laboratories, marking of laboratory reports, preparing, administering and evaluating laboratory quizzes to students and assisting faculty and graduate students with their teaching and research. The incumbent will be expected to work in laboratory environments with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will also support the Faculty of Engineering website and the collection of survey data.

Minimum qualifications for this position are a technology diploma in computer/software engineering or equivalent with 3 years of related experience. Higher degrees and registration are preferred.
