Course Title: PSYC 2301 ADE: Personality Psychology (1.0 FCE)

Course Description: This course will survey a variety of topics in contemporary personality psychology, including personality assessment, behavioural consistency, behavioural genetics, motives, the unconscious, personal efficacy, the five-factor model, the self-concept, self-esteem, self-consciousness, self-fulfilling prophecies, stress and illness, personality and relationships, moral character, sex and gender, and emotion. There will also be coverage of some traditional personality theories.
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise, background and experience in General Psychology are required. Previous teaching of the respective course is considered an asset. Applicants must have a M.A. in Psychology, although a Ph.D. in Psychology is preferred.
