The Faculty of Natural Resources Management, Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus is seeking a Contract Lecturer for Natural Resources Inventory I, NRMT-1110-WA for the Winter session of 2017 (Jan. 9 – April 30, 2017) .
Course description for Natural Resources Inventory I: General principles of measurement; theory and use of mensurational instruments; measurement of length, area and volume; construction of standard and local volume tables; estimation of stand volume from simple sampling designs; measurement of non-timber resources.
This course is conducted in 2:3 format for lectures and labs.
Qualifications of applicant should include: PhD in Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Studies or related field, understanding and use of mensurational tools, understanding of forest ecology, and relevant teaching experience.
