Under the supervision of the Director of Social Work, the Field Education Coordinator is responsible for the on-going development, maintenance, and evaluation of the HBSW field education program in Orillia, and for the academic advising of HBSW students in the one year and four year HBSW programs.  The successful candidate is responsible for the development and maintenance of placement opportunities in collaboration with community agencies and partners, the coordination of the student placement process, the facilitation of field orientation, the provision of student field seminars, supervisory training and consultation for Field Instructors, and the coordination of the placement evaluation process, and final grade assignment. The Field Education Coordinator will also participate in recruitment initiatives and work collaboratively with the Field Education Coordinators at both the Orillia and Thunder Bay campuses.
 
 
The successful applicant will have an MSW degree and be registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.  Knowledge of community resources in Simcoe, Muskoka, York, Durham, Peel, and Toronto is essential.  Prior experience working a university setting, in Field Education or Social Work Education as well as knowledge of University policies and procedures is considered an asset.  The successful applicant will have exceptional program management, organizational, communication, and time management skills.
