Course Title: HESC 5710 Social Marketing / Health Communications

Course Description:
This course provides a broad overview of the scope of health communications in the practice of public health and then focuses on the theories of behaviour change, social marketing and the evidence of the effectiveness of communication campaigns in health promotion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants will hold the minimum of a Master's Degree, preferably with a public health background. Teaching and student evaluation experience at the graduate level and knowledge of distance education delivery is preferred. The successful candidate must possess the ability to teach using an online learning platform, although assistance will be made available via the Office of Continuing Education and Distributed Learning.
