TECHNICAL STAFF -French Lab Coordinator

Department of Languages - Lakehead University
Thunder Bay (ON)
Salary Range $46,954 to $58,693 (annualized)

Nine-months contract (September to April 2015) with possibility of renewal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing teaching support and marking assistance for the laboratory component of French language courses including alternating the use of teaching software audio/visual equipment and oral interactions in French. Specific responsibilities include assisting in the supervision of technical assistants, the development and coordination of laboratory activities as well as the preparation of instructional manuals.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (French-English) has a Master degree in French as a second language, certified DELF (A1-B2), coupled with a minimum of three years of experience in teaching French as a second language. The successful candidate should be proficient with computers and technology, have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Additional qualifications include the ability to exercise considerable initiative and judgment as well as a strong independent work ethic.
