LIBRARY CLERK

Orillia Library-Orillia Campus

Eight-Month Contract

(August 2015-April 2016)

$14.00 - $16.50/hr

Dedicated to superior customer service, the Library Clerk will participate in a wide range of library activities.  Primary responsibilities include performing circulation duties, making reservations, providing information concerning policies and procedures and assisting customers with the use of equipment.  Additional responsibilities include receiving and returning interlibrary loans, tracking library inventory, processing new items, and other related duties.

The successful candidate will possess a diploma coupled with familiarity with library services offered at a post-secondary institution.  Proficient with Microsoft Office, the incumbent has experience working with library software (Voyager) as well as with library research using catalogues and databases.  Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills are a must.
