Research Internship Position

Job Description:
The primary purpose of the Research Intern is to create, advance and disseminate projects within the HealtheSteps (https://www.healthesteps.ca/) program of research. The intern will build on their scientific competencies, project and interdisciplinary team management skills and personal aptitudes to formulate specific research questions, identify funding sources, prepare grant applications and assist with data collection and dissemination of results.
Qualifications:
University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate's field of study. A graduate (masters level) student in the area of kinesiology, psychology, public health and/or gerontology will be sought for the internship position. Familiarity with health issues in rural, remote, First Nation communities will be an asset.
