            5 month contract
Schedule II, Band 5

$50,560 to $63,199 (annual salary)

Reporting to the Manager of Undergraduate Admissions, the Systems Admissions Officer is responsible for overseeing an admissions portfolio as well as systems related responsibilities that impact the application and admission of students to the University. You will be involved in training, development, documentation and implementation of the student information system for the department. As a technical expert, the successful candidate will liaise with the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) regarding changes to system requirements and other data needs. Overseeing a full admissions portfolio involves responding to general inquiries, meeting with applicants, reviewing applications, making sound admission decisions based on program requirements and university regulations, participating in recruitment events, and actively working in a team environment to meet admission goals. This position is also responsible for data collection and analysis, including reporting statistics and monitoring the flow of information from and to the OUAC.

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate university degree in a related field and a minimum of one year related experience. Additional qualifications include extensive computers skills, including the ability to train staff and complete statistical reporting requirements, combined with strong organizational, time management, well-developed research and analytical skills. Preference will be given to applicants with proven experience using the Ellucian Colleague system.
