B.Ed Program - Year 1

Applications are requested for the following Education Program course: Student Teaching Part 1 - EDUC 4398

(Subject to availability and budgetary approval)

Description: A supervised practical placement in which students have extended opportunities to observe and practice teach in schools and classrooms appropriate to their levels of study and/or teachable subjects. The placements are made in accordance with the regulations for Teacher Certification in Ontario and will be determined by the Faculty of Education. Credit Weight: 0.5 Offering: A total of 25 days in fall term plus a total of 25 days in winter term.

 

B.Ed Program - Year 2

Applications are requested for the following Education Program courses: Student Teaching Part 2 - EDUC 4498

(Subject to availability and budgetary approval)

Description: A supervised practical placement in which students have extended opportunity to observe and practice teach in schools and classrooms appropriate to their levels of study and/or teachable subjects. The placements are made in accordance with the regulations for Teacher Certification in Ontario and will be determined by the Faculty of Education.  Credit Weight: 0.5 Prerequisite(s): Education 4398. Offering: A total of 25 days in fall term plus a total of 25 days in winter term

 

Starting Date and Duration: Fall Term 2016 and Winter Term 2017

Location: Orillia Campus

NOTE:  no travel allowance shall be payable.

Qualifications Preferred:  M.Ed. or Doctoral degree in Education with experience teaching at the post-secondary level.
