Full time hours will be between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
Part-time hours will be between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and
will vary due to the needs of the University and student school schedule
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform filter changes to mechanical systems through the University's computerized work order system;
Clean up work area as directed;
Assist Mechanics and Electricians as required;
Report defects found in HVAC equipment to Lead Hand;
Organize filter inventory and provide re-order sheets to Trades Lead Hand Mechanical.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary student enrolled in a degree program at Lakehead University;
Capable of working independently;
Must possess a valid driver's license;
Good organizational abilities, comfortable working in a team environment, good interpersonal skills;
Candidate should be mechanically inclined and possess familiarity with building mechanical systems;
Must provide own CSA approved safety footwear (coveralls will be supplied by Lakehead University);
Familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, its regulations and other health and safety related legislation and standards
