The Coordinator, International Marketing & Communications is a critical member of the Lakehead University International team, reporting to the Director of International Enrolment. The successful incumbent must be a creative, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual who is excited by the opportunity to recruit international students to Lakehead University, using modern and sophisticated marketing and promotional tools and materials. The position requires an individual who is attuned to varying market forces that impact international student decision making, targeting prospective students, applicants and families in order to provide them with information to assist in the student's decision to select Lakehead University. The Coordinator will be responsible for creative design of marketing material and managing social media platforms to encourage applications. Specialized marketing and promotional materials will also be created that can be relied upon by applicants, guidance counsellors, agents and other individuals representing international students. A high degree of collaboration and team work is required due to the high level of interaction with both internal and external parties.  

Candidates to this position must have completed a university degree and have at least 2 to 3 years of related experience, with preference in international marketing and communications. With outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), the successful candidate must have advanced knowledge of promotional materials development and publishing, demonstrated knowledge and ability in social media campaign development and execution with a history of success. The incumbent to the position must have excellent time and project management skills, analytical and organizational abilities with a strong independent work ethic. The Coordinator must have a demonstrated ability to foster, develop and maintain successful working relationships with multiple audiences and the ability to manage creative large-scale marketing campaigns. Sensitivity to privacy issues and a flexible work schedule is expected for this position. A Class G driver's licence and a willingness and ability to travel on university business.
