Applications are requested to teach one or more courses in a broad range of courses, which may include but are not limited to:
Introduction to Gerontology
GERO 1110 FA (Thursdays, 7-10pm, Fall Session)
Introduction to Palliative Care
GERO 2010 FDE (Web, Fall Session)
Aging in Canada
GERO 1130 WA (Mondays, 7-10 pm, Winter Session)
Overview of Dementia Studies
GERO 2110 WDE (Web, Winter Session)
Note: Those who have previously held sessional positions in the Department of Gerontology must apply to this posting if they wish to be considered for the upcoming academic year.
Starting Date:
Fall Session: September 12, 2016 to December 5, 2016
Winter Session: January 9, 2017-April 7, 2017
Location: Thunder Bay
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise, background and experience in basic concepts, issues and current trends in Gerontology. Previous teaching of the respective course is considered an asset. Post-graduate degree in a discipline related to gerontology and the ability to teach gerontology from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Applications should include: A cover letter indicating course(s) of interest and outlining qualifications, as well as a curriculum vitae, the names of three references, evidence of teaching performance, and any other relevant information.
