RELIGIOUS STUDIES 1100 YDE:  Introduction to World Religions

                                                 

Course Description:   Religious Studies 1100 YDE:  An introduction to the religions of the world, with special attention to Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. An enquiry into the history of religions and the manifestations and meaning of religion in relation to its cultural context.

Credit Weight:                       1.0 FCE

Prerequisite(s):                     None

Starting Date:                        September 2016

Qualifications:                      Please submit a letter of application and a curriculum vitae which should include the following information:  (a) academic qualifications; and (b) evidence of ability to perform the various duties of the position; and (c) teaching evaluations, if available.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Dean of the

Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities on academic matters and to the Director of the Office of Continuing Education and Distributed Learning on budgetary and administrative matters.
