The Faculty of Natural Resources Management, Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus is seeking a Contract Lecturer for Forest Economics, NRMT-2170-FA for the Fall session of 2016 (Sept. 15, 2016 start) .

Course description for Forest Economics: 

This course is conducted in 3:0 format for lectures (no labs).

Lectures Thursday 2:30 - 5:30 pm

Introduction to the economics of production, distribution and consumption of goods and services produced by, and dependent on, the forest resource. Course objectives are to appreciate the management of forests as an economic activity; to apply some of the concepts and tools of economic analysis to the management of forest resources; and to analyze and critically appraise important forest policy issues from an economic perspective.                                                                                                                                   

Qualifications of applicant should include: Master's degree in Forestry, Ecology, Geography, Business. Environmental Studies or related field. Exposure to and understanding of Canadian business practices and international linkages as well as relevant teaching experience.
