Course Title:  HESC 5030, Introduction to Biostatistics

2.0 FCE, Winter 2017 term

Session:    Winter 2017 Term; classes begin January 9, 2017.

Wednesdays, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm EST. 

Method of Delivery: WebEx 

Course Description:

An intensive introduction to the concepts of health research designs, foundations of statistical inference, and biostatistics techniques to analyze data. The course content focuses on the application of these techniques to actual data with a commonly used statistical software package.

Preferred Qualifications:                

Applicants will hold the minimum of a Master's Degree, preferably in a public health discipline.  Preference will be given to doctoral-prepared candidates.  Teaching and student evaluation experience at the post-secondary level and knowledge of distance education delivery is preferred.

The successful candidate must possess the ability to teach using an online learning platform, although assistance will be made available via the Office of Continuing Education & Distributed Learning.
