Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual to support research activities in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role involves performing moderately complex technical tasks while following established experimental protocols and standard procedures. Working under the close supervision of a Research Associate or senior researcher, the successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects with opportunities to exercise judgment and apply specialized knowledge relevant to the area of study.
Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks, including transcribing meeting minutes, drafting correspondence, and processing HR documentation, payroll, and expense claims.
- Maintain and organize research documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
- Assist with research documentation, such as ethics submissions, lab manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate study participants, book rooms, and prepare required materials for focus groups and studies.
- Administer questionnaires, standardized tests, and scripted interviews; collect, code, and manage data according to established protocols.
- Conduct experiments and assist with data collection, analysis, and documentation following standardized procedures.
- Perform routine and moderately complex technical tasks in support of research initiatives.
- Follow well-defined experimental protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in data collection, sample preparation, and basic analysis.
- Maintain accurate and organized research records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Apply subject-specific knowledge to contribute to research outcomes, with support and guidance.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Some related experience in a research, technical, or administrative setting.
- Relevant educational backgrounds may include (but are not limited to):
- Laboratory Technician or related programs for specialized technical/laboratory skills.
- Office Administration or introductory Accounting programs for strong computer and foundational accounting skills.
- Marketing and Communications programs for event planning and communication-related expertise.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
