The Instrumentation Laboratory provides a number of services which an be broken down into two broad categories: Materials Analysis Services and Mineral Testing Services.You can also check out the full list of LUCAS services.

Training:

 LUIL offers training programs for university students engaged in research projects as well as individuals from outside the university community. If you are interested in finding out more check out the Lakehead University Instrumentation Laboratory User Guide.

External Services: 

The Instrumentation Laboratory is equipped to analyze the composition and structure of a wide range of materials, enabling our staff to provide valuable information towards solving industrial problems. Instrumentation Laboratory External Services is a member of LUCAS and provides accessibility to external users to the laboratory for a fee. Users may visit the laboratory to discuss results or consult with staff by phone. Proprietary information will be kept confidential.
