Virtual Classroom

Virtual Classroom will be discontinued as of April 30th, 2022.  Please refer to the announcement in mycourselink for full details.

Virtual Classroom (by Bongo) is a web conferencing platform to host video meetings from within online course sites.  Zoom is the recommended university-supported web conferencing tool for all synchronous online and hybrid course delivery. Refer to the Zoom section of our website for more information about using Zoom for teaching and learning.

Virtual classroom includes the following features to create engaging live streaming learning spaces:

  • desktop sharing
  • presentation uploads
  • annotation tools
  • polling
  • live chat
  • file share
  • whiteboard
  • recording

Virtual Classroom is fully integrated with mycourselink meaning that virtual meetings are scheduled and launched directly from a course site.  The "join links" for sessions are automatically added to the course calendar for students to quickly and easily access them.  Sessions can also be recorded and made available within course sites.
