If you believe that you have been treated unfairly or you have questions or concerns about a university-related issue, our Ombudsperson would be happy to meet with you. This confidential, impartial and free service is available to all Lakehead University students, staff and faculty. Our office's main goal is to ensure that all members of the Lakehead community are treated fairly and equitably.
Reasons to make an appointment
Some examples of the academic/non-academic matters addressed include:
- Course evaluation changes
- Campus services
- Personal matters
- Academic concerns or appeals
- Interpersonal problems with students, faculty and staff
- “Red tape” issues
- Landlord-tenant and other accommodation issues

Regular Office Hours
The Ombudsperson is available to meet with students, staff, and faculty:
Monday to Thursday 9 am - 12:30 and 1:30 - 4 pm.
If you cannot meet during these times, please contact the office so that we can arrange an alternative time.
