Eduroam at Lakehead University allows Visiting Students, Staff, and Faculty to access wireless networks with their user@lakeheadu.ca credentials when visiting other participating institutions.

It also will allow Students, Staff or Faculty visiting Lakehead University from participating institutions to access wireless here on campus using the eduroam network without needing a guest account.

In many cases it is best if you are able to setup and connect to the eduroam network at your home campus before travelling, this will ensure that your credentials are working on that network.

I am a LakeheadU user visiting another participating institution

You can connect to the eduroam network by simply selecting the eduroam wireless network in the available wireless list on your device. You will login with your Lakehead University information, but you must ensure that you enter your username WITH the @lakeheadu.ca included.

If you are a Lakehead University Student, Staff or Faculty member on a Lakehead University campus, please ensure you are logging in to the LakeheadU network, NOT eduroam as most accesses such as server shares, myInfo access, and library e-resources will be restricted on the eduroam network. When visiting another participating institution, you must login to the eduroam network using the full user@yourdomain.ca
