Welcome back to Lakehead for the start of the Winter semester and warm up with a bowl of chili while interacting with Lakehead's Student Services tabling in Simcoe Hall sharing student resources and supports!

Our in-person Orientation to Campus Tours are designed to familiarize our incoming students and their supporters (if applicable) with their new campus at Lakehead University! In these tours, incoming students  are shown where all the buildings are, how to get to your classes, great study spots and locate our various student supports and much more! Our live, guided tours are hosted by our Orientation to Campus Tour Guides.  

Orillia campus:  Orientation to Campus Tours will start at Simcoe Hall and will begin promptly at the starting time. Each tour is approximately 30-45 minutes in length.

As a new student, getting acquainted with the campus and connecting with others will be a top priority. That's why all new international students must attend our International Student Welcome Day, which is an orientation day, designed specifically for international students. It is the perfect opportunity for all new international students to learn about campus, discover the many supports and services available, connect with the ISS team and other new students. All new students should plan to attend Orientation. Please register in advance!

Join professional artist, Nate Cross, at the Academic Support Zone on January 9, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nate will teach us all about a marvellous paper weaving project. Swing by LI 2004 to some funky art, get to meet some of the ASZ staff, and learn more about the academic services Lakehead University offers. We're here to support your learning!

Join us for a day in the outdoors enjoying all that nature has to offer us. Warm up and enjoy hot chocolate and other treats, snowshoeing around campus, snowperson building, and skating on the campus hockey rink (weather permitting). Be sure to dress for the weather!

Check out the Agora and learn about what local businesses and organizations in Thunder Bay have to offer. You'll have the chance to connect with local leaders who offer amazing products, services, volunteer and work opportunities, and more! You might even be in store for some free swag!
