Media Release idea?

How this Works

If you have a Lakehead news story you’d like to share with audiences beyond the University community, our Media Relations team can help. We help draft media releases to share with local, provincial, and national media outlets, as well as across our social media platforms.

Please be advised that media release submissions require endorsement from your supervisor and approval from an executive team member before they are written. Should your news story not be endorsed to become a media release, our team will also consider it for Campus Connection or social media.

Share your idea for a media release by completing the form using the link below.

Working with the Media

In addition to sharing news with media outlets, our team is also the primary contact for reporters wanting to interview experts from Lakehead’s faculty and staff.

If you'd like to be considered as an expert in our guide of faculty with extensive knowledge in a specific subject, please email us at mediarelations@lakeheadu.ca with your field(s) of research/expertise.

If you're new to working with the media and would like some training, please reach out to us at mediarelations@lakeheadu.ca to schedule a training session.
