Moving exams online may seem very challenging, but it can be made much easier with some technical instruction and careful consideration of core issues: how to write effective questions for online testing, how to establish appropriate timeframes, practical considerations for academic integrity, best practices, etc. 

This workshop will also touch on a variety of “alternative assessments” – i.e. assignment/activity options that could take the place of quizzes, tests, exams (online or in-person) – as well as some of the rubrics and tools available to instructors to facilitate the effective implementation of such alternatives.

How can we use blogging as an academic tool to shift students’ thinking beyond the classroom?

Join three Lakehead University faculty members for this workshop on using blogging for both face to face and online instruction.

The presentation will include:
