Developing Oral Proficiency in Core French

This non-credit workshop will provide teacher candidates with practical strategies, games, and activities that develop oral proficiency in the Core French classroom. All of the strategies are theoretically sound and work to improve student second language development in all language domains. During this course, you will discuss and practice language strategies involving literature, music, dance, games, and activities.

Teacher candidates who plan to teach junior/intermediate Core French would benefit most from this workshop.  It will include:

  • Overview of practical strategies 
  • Videos of students and teachers during lessons
  • Samples of student work and assessment
