Special Education Specialist

The purpose of this course is to develop leadership and consultation skills at both the school and board level. The course emphasizes the critical evaluation of research literature and current developments in special education as well as focusing upon the growth of broad professional and administrative skills. The course includes practical activities involving the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of a workshop for teachers, other professionals, and parents in a particular area of special education.
