Pamela Patry

Pamela Patry is a dedicated leader, community builder, and safety advocate whose career has been shaped by a deep commitment to protecting people and strengthening the communities of Northern Ontario. As the Manager of the Northern Region at Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), Pamela works closely with organizations across the region to foster safer, healthier workplaces and empower employers with the tools they need to support their teams effectively.

Born with a natural inclination toward service and leadership, Pamela's journey has been guided by a passion for helping others. After completing her education at Lakehead University, she began building a career rooted in public service, emergency response, and community engagement. Over the years, she has contributed to numerous organizations through both professional roles and extensive volunteer work.

Pamela has spent more than two decades supporting community health and safety initiatives. Her volunteer leadership includes serving as Board President for Volunteer Sudbury/Bénévolat Sudbury, where she championed volunteer engagement, fundraising, and organizational development for six years. She has also held roles with St. John Ambulance, including Medical First Response Division Superintendent and Car Seat Technician, reflecting her long-standing dedication to public safety and education.

Her commitment to community extends into youth development and local culture. Pamela continues her volunteer work as a Guide Leader with Girl Guides of Canada, the Board President at the Coniston Curling Club, and an Alumni Ambassador for Lakehead University, where she continues to support student and alumni initiatives.

Professionally, Pamela is known for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to bring people together around shared goals. She is passionate about mental health advocacy, workplace well-being, and empowering rising leaders—interests reflected in her ongoing professional development, including certifications in leadership, management, and mental health training.

Pamela brings a thoughtful, community-centered approach to everything she does. Whether she is guiding organizations through safety challenges, mentoring emerging leaders, or volunteering her time to strengthen local networks, she remains driven by a simple but powerful mission: to make her community safer, stronger, and more connected.
