What Happens When I Report?
When you report an incident of discrimination or sexual and gender-based violence, here is what will happen:
- A member of the OHRE team will contact you within two (2) business days to coordinate a private and confidential meeting with you.
- At that meeting, you will be provided information about the following options:
- Whether you want to access accommodations or on or off-campus support services
- Whether you want to pursue an informal resolution or formal resolution process
Important Note:
- You can access accommodations and on or off-campus support services without pursuing an informal resolution or formal resolution process.
- You are in control of the process. You can choose to pursue an informal resolution or formal resolution process OR not pursue either one.
What will not happen when I report?
When you report an incident of discrimination or sexual and gender-based violence, here is what will not happen:
- We will not contact the person(s) who your allegations of discrimination or sexual and gender-based violence are against without your consent, unless you choose to pursue an informal resolution or formal resolution process.
- We will not contact any other faculty or department of the University without your consent.
- We will not start a process, informal or formal, without your consent.
