Evaluations in the era of Artificial Intelligence: Balancing Tech with Teaching - Teaching Commons

This session is aimed at equipping educators with strategies for creating assessments that evaluate and enhance student learning outcomes while also developing digital literacy to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) safely and productively. Participants will engage with hands-on demonstrations, explore scaffolding and flipped classroom approaches, and learn to clearly articulate expectations for student collaboration with AI in writing assessments. The workshop will present strategies for guiding students to critically engage with AI outputs, promoting a deeper comprehension of their studies and the nuanced interplay between AI and education.
