Veterinary Science
The Department of Veterinary Science at Lakehead University, within the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies, was established in Fall 2025.
This department supports veterinary education in Northern Ontario, including delivery of the early curriculum of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program through the Collaborative Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program (CDVMP). The CDVMP is delivered in partnership between Lakehead University and the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph.
We will begin welcoming faculty members in Fall 2026, with additional hires as the department grows.
