Application Steps:

1. Complete the application form.

a) Email your completed form to alp.admin.educ@lakeheadu.ca or fax it to (807) 346-7746.

2. Contact your previous school(s) and have them securely email docs.admission@lakeheadu.ca with official copies of your transcript(s). New Applicants are responsible for sending all academic transcripts to the Office of Admissions & Recruitment at Lakehead University. These must be official, unopened transcripts mailed directly to Lakehead University. Student Central is located at UC 1002 (beside the Agora), phone: 1-800-465-3959 and (807) 343-8500.

3. You will receive an email with your Offer of Admission and instructions. Use the login given to you at www.lakeheadu.ca to sign into your new email & Mylnfo.

4. Log in to Mylnfo. Register for classes and ask for Special Permission when prompted. You will need to register for classes each semester.

HBEd (Indigenous Teacher Education) Primary/Junior Program & BABEd (Indigenous Learning Major) Intermediate/Senior Program

For help applying to the HBEd (Indigenous Teacher Education) Primary/Junior Program or the BABEd (Indigenous Learning Major) Intermediate/Senior Program, please contact Student Central directly at:

To apply for these programs, you will use the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre's (OUAC) online applications. OUAC processes your application and then sends it to Lakehead for assessment.

Application Steps:

1. Create your OUAC application.

For the HBEd (Indigenous Teacher Education) Primary/Junior Program, use:

  • Program Code: AK
  • Major Interest: Aboriginal Education

For the BABEd (Indigenous Learning Major) Intermediate/Senior Program, use:

  • Program Code: AL
  • Major Interest: Indigenous Teacher Education Program

Contact your previous school(s) and have them securely email docs.admission@lakeheadu.ca with official copies of your transcript(s),

3. You will receive an email with your Offer of Admission and instructions. Use the login given to you at www.lakeheadu.ca to sign into your new email & Mylnfo.
