Collection Notice for Video/Audio Recording of Convocation Events Under the authority of sections 3, 5, 12, and 14 of The Lakehead University Act, 1965 Lakehead University will be recording the Lakehead University – Thunder Bay Campus - Convocation Ceremonies (the “Event”) to be held on May 28th, 29th , and June 3rd , 2026. This recording (the “Recording”) will be undertaken to preserve a record of the Event in the University’s archives, to broadcast the Event as a service to University graduates and their families, the University community, and the public, to publicize and promote Lakehead University, and for educational, research, and administrative purposes.  As reflected in section 9(8)(b) of Lakehead University’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Individual Privacy Policy the University regards its Convocation ceremonies as public events and the information, including images and sounds, contained in its Convocation programs and in its video and audio recordings of its Convocation ceremonies as public information.  By attending the Event participants agree to be included in the Recording and in the public dissemination of the Recording in any media now known or later developed, anywhere in the world, and in perpetuity.  Lakehead University owns all rights to the Recording.  Questions concerning the Recording may be directed to Manager of Curriculum Development, Delivery, and Convocation, Lakehead University, 955 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario P7B 5E1, Telephone: 807-343-8010 ext 7877, Email: convocation@lakeheadu.ca
