There are more than 77,000 Lakehead University alumni living and working around the world. In collaboration with the Alumni Association, the Alumni and Community Engagement unit is responsible for building lifelong relationships with our alumni by:

• sharing meaningful news and event information
• delivering engaging programming
• providing exclusive member benefits 

We also serve as an outreach resource for students, staff, and faculty, and welcome opportunities to collaborate with departments and faculties to strengthen engagement with their graduates.

In addition to our alumni engagement work, we encourage philanthropic support for the Lakehead Annual Fund, which supports student scholarships, bursaries, and awards, as well as campus projects and a wide range of academic and non-academic initiatives. Our office also champions several campaigns each year that engage our campus community, including Giving Tuesday and our homegrown crowdfunding platform, Lakehead Giving.
