The Communications, Marketing and Web Development team, provides strategic and creative leadership in promoting Lakehead University’s unique position in the marketplace. We are responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans and tactics that are aligned with the Vision and Mission, Academic Plan, Strategic Plan, Strategic Enrolment Management Plan, and Communications Plan of Lakehead University.

We lead the execution of pan-university communications and marketing initiatives, ensuring the effective use of resources and integration with central communications and marketing objectives. We collaborate with University partners on photography, videography, graphic design, copywriting, project management and websites, utilizing internal resources and working with external agencies and freelancers.

The Web Development portfolio manages the University’s website and portal, which encompasses the creation of the overarching strategy and tactics involving all facets of the University’s web presence. Working with the Website and Portal Advisory Committee, we take the lead on the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance and troubleshooting of Lakehead’s website assets.

This team is also responsible for the editorial direction, design, production and distribution of the University’s Alumni magazine (Journey), and the President’s Annual Report and Report to the Community events, at both campuses.
