To help get you through exams, the Student Affairs department is offering build-your-own Exam Wellness Kits in Simcoe Hall! Stop by any time from December 8th – 19th to get what you need to have a healthy and successful exam period. Kit items include:

  • Fruits
  • Granola bars and other snacks
  • School supplies
  • Study and stress management tips
  • And more!

Join Student Health and Wellness and Student Central for an information session about how your food choices impact your mood and how to improve your overall well-being by eating well without breaking the bank.

You'll learn about:

  • How your food impacts your mental health
  • Nutrients and foods that promote mental wellbeing
  • Simple, low-cost recipes to incorporate those foods into your diet

Learn about some new ways to find relaxation in your everyday life, like simple stretches, meditation techniques, or quiet and reflective activities, and how you can easily incorporate them into your day.

Taking care of your health and practicing healthy habits is a key strategy to manage stress during exam time. This includes, eating nutritious foods, getting enough sleep, exercising, and taking some time to relax and connect with yourself and others. Trying to do it all can feel overwhelming, but even taking 10 minutes to do something for yourself can make a difference in managing stress.  Take10 with Student Health and Wellness to make your own stress ball and learn more tips for stress management.

Join Student Health and Wellness for some quiet activities to give yourself the time and space to reflect on how you are feeling this exam season. A few giveaways will be available so you can take what you need based on how you are feeling.

  • A chocolate and a joke for a pick me up
  • A banana for some energy
  • An herbal tea and a colouring page for relaxation
  • A pencil for you next exam
  • A motivational message: take one for yourself, or leave one for someone else.
