Nidhi Verma

Nidhi has been working as a Legal Administrative Assistant with the clinic since September 2021. She has completed her Bachelor of Arts (in Laws) from India and continued her studies in Canada by choosing the Law Clerk Program at Algonquin College. During her studies, she worked with the International Education Centre as an International Peer Mentor Leader, and at the Centre of Accessible Learning as a Specialized Peer Tutor and Visual Interpreter. She completed her internship at Frouhar Law, a Criminal Law Firm in Ottawa. After her graduation, she started working as a Criminal Legal Assistant at the Weaver Simmons Law Firm in Sudbury, where she learned more about the Criminal Justice System and Provincial Offences. Her desire to learn more, serve the community, and help people to get justice brought her to the Community Legal Clinic at Lakehead University.
