Composition Workshop with the TBSO

Lakehead University music composition students will have the opportunity to work with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra and its conductor, Stephane Potvin, in a workshop of new compositions for orchestra April 26 and 27, 2010.  This is a much too rare occasion for undergraduate student composers to hear their compositions performed by a celebrated fully professional orchestra.  The learning potential from an opportunity like this is of paramount importance. The two-day workshop will conclude with a public performance of the students' works at 7:00 pm on April 27 at the St. Paul's United Church.

Chamber Choir with TBSO Chorus in concert

The Lakehead University Chamber Choir joins the Thunder Bay Symphony Chorus, vocal soloists Kimy McLaren, Jennifer Enns Modolo, David MenziesJames Levesque and the TBSO for two works by Mozart (Venite populi, K. 260 and Vesperae solennes de Confessore, K. 339) in Masterworks V, 8:00 pm, March 11, 2010 at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.  Conducted by Arthur Post.
