About the Speaker: Judith Marshall is a popular educator, activist and writer who has been engaged in southern Africa solidarity politics for more than 40 years. Marshall was a founding member of the Toronto Committee for the Liberation of Southern Africa and worked in the Ministry of Education for eight years soon after Mozambique's independence in 1975. Recently retired after twenty years in United Steelworkers Global Affairs Department, where she continued to build solidarity links with southern Africa, Marshall is now an Associate Fellow at CERLAC where she does research and writing on themes of mining and corporate power.
