Between the Green & the Gold - Open Access to Canadian Research: Opportunities & Challenges

The open access movement is transforming scholarly communications. This webinar will give an overview of what open access is and the potential benefits of Open Access publishing. In light of the Tri-Councils recent policy announcement on open access to awarded research, the session will also explore what the policy means for funders, institutions and researchers; the methods and mechanisms available to enable compliance (both free and fee routes) as well as ways to address any concerns and/or barriers to open access which faculty and other key stakeholders may have. This will also be an opportunity to share ideas and perspectives on future developments in open access both in Canada and beyond.

If you are interested in participating in this webinar, please e-mail Andrew Friesen at afriesen@lakeheadu.ca as soon as possible.
