In cooperation with the Orillia & District Art Council (ODAC) an Interactive Exhibit will take place at the Orillia campus.

Lakehead University's Gender Issues Centre will recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on Friday, Dec. 6 with a service that includes speakers, poetry, a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence. 

The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is held each year to remember the 14 women who were killed at L'Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in 1989.

The service will be held from 12 to 1 pm in the Agora.
