Description
This event will bring together Lakehead University researchers and community organizations to discuss topics of concern to Thunder Bay and the region. The conversations will allow community organizations to know what Lakehead researchers are working on, and will allow researchers to learn more about the needs of community organizations in their areas of interest. We also hope to learn more about how Lakehead University can make the process of forming research partnerships more accessible to the community.

Description 
This panel discussion, featuring a group of diverse local, national and international researchers, will address “City Limits”––a discussion on barriers to inclusion and causes of discrimination in urban environments ––and the way that community-based research can support understandings and potential solutions.  Community organizations will be invited to have booths during the symposium portion of the evening where they can highlight their work towards greater social justice in Thunder Bay.
