Love, Sex, and Mate Choice the topic of Lakehead’s next In Conversation event

What are the differences between sex, romantic love, and attachment? Why is it sometimes difficult to integrate all three? Why do people often repeat dysfunctional patterns in love, despite saying “I will do better next time?”
These will be some of the questions that Lakehead University’s Dr. Les Fleischer will address at the next In Conversation event at the Orillia Public Library on Wednesday, December 2 at 6:15 pm.
Dr. Fleischer is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Lakehead Orillia, and is also a psychoanalyst and member of the faculty of the Toronto Institute of Psychoanalysis. His research interests include adult and adolescent mental health, psychoanalysis, dreams, and the education of mental health professionals.
In his talk: Love, Sex, and Mate Choice: A Psychoanalytic Perspective, he will discuss how an understanding of the unconscious and neuro-biological factors can help us understand these complex phenomena.
